First Listen Melba Moore Helps Us "Imagine" A Better World
(July 5, 2022) There’s no question that the world we live in is full of turmoil – hatred, violence, racism, and so forth. Those negative conditions, however, don’t stop people from hoping for a better world. That hope has been expressed in song many times over the years by artists in just about every genre. One song that fits into this category is “Imagine,” the latest single by legendary entertainer Melba Moore, who was recently announced as one of the honorees who will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023. Although not a cover of the John Lennon classic, Melba Moore’s “Imagine” has a similar purpose – urging the listener to imagine a world that’s much better than the one we have currently. She sings: “A place of hope, a place of peace. Imagine if love filled every street / No more hate, we’d all be free. Imagine how pure this world could be.” In addition to those peaceful lyrics, the song itself - which has a Sade-esque feel to it - exudes a sense of calm. While listening to “Imagine,” you can close your eyes and get lost in imagining the serenity that Melba Moore is singing about. The song is the title track from Moore’s latest album, which she calls her best work yet. As you check out the lyric video for “Imagine” below - which features families enjoying each other in peace - imagine yourself in a better world, with Melba Moore as your musical tour guide.

King, Ms. Naomi Ruth Barber-King and her children Derek King and Dr. Alveda King has given Y3K their blessing and the opportunity to share this amazing piece of history and story never shared with the American public and the world. Rev. A.D. King was the younger brother of the slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. A.D. King's legacy is an untold story and massively huge part of American history. A.D. King was a powerful force behind the movement and had a major impact on the history of the movement. Like his brother Martin, a little over a year after MLK's assassination, though reported as death by drowning, A.D. King was murdered at his home in Atlanta, GA. under suspicious circumstances.
